In the Event of All Things to Be or Have Been Being Now is a piece about synchronicity, with all time and space being compressed in one infinite experience. Greg Escalante appears holding a stopwatch that revolves simultaneously with trains, birds, people and a child’s spinning top. I wanted to paint him as I saw him, a powerful visionary who seeks out meaningful connections in the universe and gazes in awe at them.
