Mr Blank Toys produces limited-edition resin art toy figures inspired by a nostalgia for the ’80s, ’90s and today – while also tackling social issues in our communities from homelessness to gender equality, in an effort to contribute toward a more open dialog on these issues. Post-Optimus Prime the transgendered transformer was directly inspired by transgender friends who are in the process of going through sexual reassignment surgery (SRS) themselves. In making this piece, I strived to produce art that is socially aware and supportive while commenting on these issues in our community. IG @muxblank
