Poul Lange was born in Copenhagen, Denmark, but has lived in the U.S. over 20 years – first in New York and later Los Angeles. His work in collage and photography might at first seem unrelated, but at closer inspection you’ll see similarities in the layered structures and repeating motifs. The series, “Art Watching” examines our changing ways of interacting with art over a 30-year period. “Ukulele Ladies” pays homage to the little Hawaiian instrument that grew out of Lange’s interest in lutherie, and “Not Normal” expresses a truth we need to keep in mind as we traverse these troubled waters.
