Mark Dean Veca, born in Shreveport, LA, received his BFA from Otis Art Institute in 1985. His deep passion for baroque and rococo inspired a career that explores the duality of existence: elegant vs. common, micro vs. macro, high art vs. low art, and so on. Veca has exhibited at galleries and museums internationally including New York City, London, and Sacramento. He’s been honored with three New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowships, a City of Los Angeles (COLA) Master Artist Fellowship, and a Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant. He hopes his art is accessible and resonates with a wide audience.
