Kevin Mack’s abstract virtual reality art is designed to inspire awe, engage the imagination and enhance well-being. His work is informed by research in a wide range of fields, from neuroscience to artificial life. Mack is inspired by transcendent visions, technology and natural phenomena, using 3D printing to bring virtual creations into the physical world, and these works are being studied and used in therapeutic and medical applications. Mack’s pioneering work in computer graphics and visual effects has been recognized with honors including an Academy Award for best visual effects for What Dreams May Come.
