Sung Jik Yang was born in South Korea in 1989. He received his BFA in Illustration with a fine art painting track from ArtCenter College of Design in 2018. Sung has painted portraits of his friends and acquaintances and mostly deals with young people, a generation with sharp and sensitive minds who represent our present and future. He interprets the individual’s characteristics, which serves as his artistic inspiration. He often compares himself as a painter to a psychologist. He believes portraiture is the most honest way to show another human being and that human faces primitively represent who they truly are.
